Puros Symmetry PLIF Allograft System

The Puros® Symmetry® PLIF Allograft System is the only posterior lumbar interbody fusion system that offers an allograft spacer that originates from a single doner. The unique horseshoe design allows the graft to be easily divided, intraoperatively, into two identical grafts

Divide and Conquer with Cortical Consistency Side-to-Side

A single donor PLIF graft conquers the inherent inconsistencies of relying on two spacers from two donors. The Symmetry® PLIF graft assures cortical consistency side-to-side with:

  • Consistent cortical strength
  • Consistent density
  • Optimum histo-compatibility

The Symmetry® graft features surface texturing to resist graft migration and a 3° lordotic angle for proper sagittal alignment. The Symmetry® graft is processed using the proprietary Tutoplast® process and in accordance with the quality standards of the American Association of Tissue Banks.

The Puros® Symmetry® PLIF Graft and Instrument Set Features:

  • Straightforward, easy-to-use instrumentation
  • Flexible distraction methods to meet surgeon preference
  • Ability to create endplate channel for press-fitting of graft
  • Inserter holes for ease of placement
  • Minimal tension on graft during implantation
  • Grafts available in 8,10, 12, 14 mm heights
  • Long-term fusion using packed autograft or allograft material
  • Flexible disk preparation equipment

Flexible Instrumentation in a 3-Step Delivery System

The Symmetry® instrument set is an easy-to-use, 3-step delivery system that provides flexibility and facilitates implantation.

1. Distraction

Flexible distraction methods include a flip-up distractor and distraction plug. A pedicle screw distractor is available on request.

2. Endplate preparation

Proper endplate preparation is achieved using the unique box chisel and/or traditional rasp.

3. Insertion

The inserter smoothly guides the Symmetry graft into place with minimal tension on the graft.
